Wick Standards.

NMLCRF advocates the use of the Wick Standards for prescribing prescription lenses.

These standards are shown in the following table. The critical column in the table is the ‘symptomatic’ column. (VQS refers to visual quality score which is determined by responses on a survey form.) The child (or patient) is the expert on their vision and if they are having problems, then a prescription should correct even a small visual abnormality.
